Change in the mindset!

(This is really a vast topic, but tried it to keep it as intact and precise to my ability)

Today, whenever we just scroll through current happenings may be through news paper, there are quite a few incidents reported for corruption, rapes, loots and gang wars , the way the various public sector operates-poor planning and implementation of initiatives-(bridges, dams, public properties), red tape politics in heavy percentage of any transactions espacailly while dealing with the government authority, the way sometimes police force is involved in the crime acts, bribes, Handling of varous problems by the leaders and lack of eagerness shown by people 'in power' on addressing the issues..... so on and so forth....now whats the impact of these in-activeness... some of which comes to mind straight away

Scarcity of basic needs of food and shelter, wastages of these valuable necessities ( just a practical example which i read in news paper-
leaking of water carrying pipelines wasting the vital water source in peak summers, stealing of the electricity power), in our large country at the same time , there would be people dying without water and due to water( flood), the list can go on and on and on...

So all in all- 'a imbalance in the demand and supply of the human needs'.
It creates a unhealthy social environment, wherein a common man gets disappointed, dejected and is forced to draw the conclusion that, its going to happen this way ONLY in our country....nothing is going to change. Due to this mind set, resulting in low moral values, the common man indulges into this bad environment , not working to his best potential summing up to low output in whatever, he is doing, subsequently contributing to the circle of problems cited in our society(some of the glimpses shared above)

OK, enough about the problem description since we are aware and into it ..so we know all about this!..Now what needs to be changed? Revamping of system? change in the government? Stricter law and order? Change in some policy?, but the point is, if something needs change its going to affect the common man, its for him, by him... who will be going to the center of change, hence I think we require change in our mindset....that needs change.....its all how we look at it....if we think nothing is going to change and thats how "System" will work.......it will remain as it is...........

We the people need to think that, today is the day and we are going to act on ethical values of truth , transparency, respect and compassion for each and every one around us. Thats what we learn in our upbringing isn't it?But no one follows them in real life, this is because no one see them implemented around us. However, its time when, these values needs to be re-instituted amongst everyone of us. This is a paradigm shift which will not happen overnight, but if every one thinks, optimistically and put in a conscious effort to rebuild these changes back, it would have a massive social-economic impact.

Here are some of the way which I think can be checked out in order to communicate and implement such a change-

1) A process in all the service, public sectors, government departments understanding their system , people problems-as to why they are getting involve in malpractice, possible solutions to the issues and motivating them and embedding the ethical values

2) Use of media-This I think is the main weapon to concur this problem. News paper( perhaps a column on front page everyday citing the importance of values and a every day example of how we can implement values daily), FM radio,Broadcasting on television show can have a massive impact due to its high penetration. TV shows conveying the messages, talks and outcome oriented debates, probably a reality show which will showcase how changing the mindset and inculcating the core values helped a community/area village/city, in short, benefit to the people.Since, people will be easily able to correlate this REAL change, it can transform the belief system of people community which will Change the thought process and eventually changing the day to day actions and decision based on the values. (I think this reality show can bring in a huge TRP-a business value as well :)

3) Highly motivated and philosophical gurus talking and conveying this message every where by conducting people gatherings..

4) Also, Once people start following, a system which can recognize the change in people and rewards for the same.

These are just some of the suggestions and would be just a start and believe me, these small changes are contentious which would contribute in unfolding a conducive environment for overall growth and remarkable difference for India in 21st century!!!!!!!!!!!..Don't you think so?
